About the Job: The Senior Manager, Wholesale Fulfillment leads the strategic and operational execution of Comfrt's Wholesale Distribution Center, ensuring our wholesale partners receive the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time, with complete inventory accuracy and competitive fulfillment timelines. This role owns the end-to-end flow of inventory across the wholesale network—from vendor inbound through outbound shipments to wholesale distribution partners—including 3PL coordination, allocation strategy, and master SKU management across multiple customer channels. By driving operational excellence, fulfillment accuracy, cost efficiency, and partner satisfaction, this role directly impacts wholesale revenue, partner margins, customer retention, and Comfrt's competitive position in the wholesale channel. The Senior Manager, Wholesale serves as the operational and strategic leader between the Wholesale DC, wholesale partners, vendor network, and HQ functions. This role partners closely with Wholesale Sales, Supply Planning, Vendor Management, Finance, Customer Success, and Technology to ensure seamless inventory flow from vendors into the Wholesale DC and out to wholesale partners. By owning 3PL performance scorecards, replenishment strategies, allocation logic, and partner SLA compliance, this role drives alignment on inventory priorities, surfaces supply chain risks early, and ensures partner feedback is integrated into DC and fulfillment processes. Through strategic communication and cross-functional leadership, this position shapes supply chain culture, operational excellence, and partner-first thinking that extends across the entire wholesale channel. Responsibilities: Wholesale DC Operations & 3PL Strategic Management (35%) Own strategic and day-to-day operations of the Wholesale DC, holding the 3PL accountable to inbound, outbound, UPH, accuracy, and cost standards. Lead the operational cadence with the 3PL (daily huddles, WBR, MBR, QBR) and drive action against performance gaps; escalate systemic issues and partner performance to leadership. Partner on labor planning, volume forecasting, capacity modeling, and peak readiness to ensure Wholesale DC can scale with partner growth and demand volatility. Own SOPs, process documentation, continuous improvement initiatives, and automation roadmap for Wholesale DC workflows (receiving, put-away, pick, pack, ship, returns). Manage 3PL partner relationships at a strategic level; conduct business reviews, forecast discussions, and contract performance reviews. Wholesale Inventory Flow & Allocation Strategy (25%) Coordinate inbound vendor shipments into the Wholesale DC, ensuring on-time receipt, clean put-away, and compliance with vendor SLAs. Own wholesale order fulfillment, shipment scheduling, routing, and freight execution to meet wholesale partner order deadlines and SLA commitments. Partner with Supply Planning and Wholesale Sales on demand forecasting, allocation strategy, and inventory positioning across the wholesale partner base. Manage multi-node inventory transfers between Wholesale DC, ecomm DC, and retail locations, including inter-partner transfers, recalls, and returns processing. Oversee master SKU management, product lifecycle flows, seasonal inventory balancing, and end-of-life product clearance across wholesale channels. Inventory Accuracy, Controls & Compliance (20%) Own inventory accuracy at the Wholesale DC, including cycle counts, full physical inventories, variance investigation, and root cause resolution. Establish and maintain shrink, damage, adjustment targets, and audit trails; drive cost recovery and partner accountability for damage. Partner with Tech on WMS/OMS inventory integrity, system transactions, data quality, and accuracy reporting across wholesale customer channels. Implement and maintain robust receiving, put-away, quality control, and pick-accuracy standards to minimize downstream partner issues and returns. Wholesale Partner & Stakeholder Collaboration (12%) Serve as the HQ operational lead for wholesale partners; provide timely, transparent communication on order status, shipments, fulfillment, and issue resolution. Partner with Wholesale Sales on partner onboarding, fulfillment readiness, and issue escalation; ensure DC processes align with partner requirements and growth plans. Collaborate with Vendor Management on inbound vendor performance, lead-time compliance, and quality standards. Align with Finance on freight costs, inventory adjustments, COGS allocation, and DC budget management and forecasting. Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement (5%) Analyze Wholesale DC throughput, accuracy, fulfillment timeliness, freight costs, and partner SLA compliance to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Partner with reporting and analytics teams to build dashboards and KPI frameworks for Wholesale DC performance and partner fulfillment metrics. Translate DC and fulfillment data into strategic insights; develop and own action plans to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and partner satisfaction. Team Leadership & Organizational Development (3%) Lead and develop a team of DC supervisors/coordinators, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Build succession planning, skills development, and leadership pipeline to maintain high operational performance and team stability. Qualifications: Minimum 7-10+ years of progressive experience in wholesale distribution, DC operations, supply chain management, or B2B fulfillment. Proven track record leading large-scale wholesale DC operations and managing 3PL partners against UPH, accuracy, cost, and SLA targets. Strong working knowledge of WMS/OMS systems, order management, inbound/outbound processes, inventory controls, and reporting. Experience coordinating multi-node inventory flows (vendors → DC → wholesale partners) across complex wholesale and B2B networks. Experience with wholesale freight execution, LTL/FTL management, carrier negotiations, and wholesale delivery SLAs. Advanced proficiency with Excel/Sheets; strong comfort with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and data-driven decision making. Experience in high-growth wholesale, DTC with wholesale channel, or B2B fulfillment; Shopify Plus or B2B platform experience a plus. Strong leadership, delegation, and team development skills; proven ability to manage through partners and cross-functional stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence; ability to communicate clearly with wholesale partners, vendors, and HQ leadership. Strategic operator mindset. Equally comfortable on the DC floor, on a 3PL call, with wholesale partners, and in executive strategy sessions. Detail-obsessed with a strong instinct for accuracy, controls, root cause analysis, and systemic problem solving.
